Week of June 6-10

Schedule- 9:30-3:30

Throughout our art week, we will be creating many art projects, primarily textile-focused. We will explore the work of Yayoi Kusama and Sheila Hicks as well as build an indigo vat that we will use to dye our shibori pieces.

Projects include, but not limited to-

-shibori bandanas and socks

-sculptural pillow in the style of artist Yayoi Kusama

-fiber art inspired by artist Sheila Hicks

-block-printed and dyed tote bags

-paracord jewelry or keychains

-cake baking for our cake decorating competition

-picnic trip to Cañon pool with lunch included (Friday only)

10:00-art project discussion

11-snack/movement/play

11:30-12:45-art focus

12:45-lunch/play

1-30-3:30-art project, clean-up, closing circle

Art week-lunch not included M-Th. We will include lunch for our Friday picnic at the pool.

Cost for the week is $550 and includes all art supplies.

In addition to the planned projects, we will have a variety of rotating projects going on at all times. The kids will be welcome to take breaks to make art or move their bodies.

We have space for 10 campers, excluding our own.-includes all materials fee and Friday picnic at the pool. If you are not a Cañon member, the pool fee is an additional $10.
